Last September was needless to say a little gloomy around here... The Eagle Creek Fire was absolutely devastating to Portland and the surrounding areas. The fire burned more than 48,000 acres, cost millions for firefighting efforts, left the area with extremely unhealthy air quality, and the list goes on. Most of the hikes along the Oregon side of the Gorge are still closed, including one of my all-time favorites, Munra Point. As soon as this area reopens, I highly recommend this hike and Friends of the Gorge is a wonderful organization to donate money to help the area recover from the fire. Munra Point is a HARD hike and might be terrifying if you don't like heights (like me!), but the views are beyond spectacular and this place is truly magical. Here are some of the photos from the two times I have done this hike and I can't wait to get back up there!

Fivemile Butte Lookout is in the Mt. Hood national forest and is available to rent overnight, but it is extremely popular and is typically booked out for months! I got super lucky and booked this lookout last year and it was one of the coolest adventures in the area that I've experienced. We had to park at the Billy Bob Sno-Park and hike in 3 miles, with food, water, bedding, and clothes. It was quite the trek in the snow, but once we were up there and were the only people around for miles it was well worth it. At 40 feet from the ground, the cabin swayed back and forth during the middle of the night because it was so windy, which kinda freaked me out. Haha. We woke up in the morning to a foot of fresh snow! So FUN!!!
This was a baby Levi's jacket that I purchased online and hand embroidered my niece's name, Harper, on the back of for her first birthday. I really love how it turned out and can't wait for her to wear it! I was inspired to do this project from this blog post: Honestly WTF.
Since I now have two nieces and two nephews, I decided that I needed to make their Christmas presents this past year. The below picture is of the canvas backpack's I made them and hand embroidered their initial's on (Ben, Anna, Ollie & Harper). Each pack was made to fit and had a unique cute printed lining to match their personalities. :)

This is a small collection of some of my favorite west coast adventures I've been on in the past 5 years. Getting fresh air and seeing these beautiful places makes me feel grounded and present. It is truly one of the best things I have incorporated into my lifestyle and there is so much more to see... I feel extremely lucky to live in such a wonderful part of this world. Hope you enjoy these photos just as much as I do! xoxo

Here is some Fall camping inspiration to get out there! This was along the Trask River towards Tillamook, Oregon. Such a stunning area that I had never thought to go to, while driving out to the coast. I love finding new places and Oregon constantly impresses me with its beauty!
With the crisp fall air and dewy mornings, camping this time a year can be so fun. Getting all cozy around the campfire and drinking apple cider with rum! Going on a hike to see all the glorious fall colors and feel inspired. Also, it's not busy season for camping, so you can get places all to yourselves! Which is THE best!
I'll admit that these things are more for the fancy camper or glamper! ;)

This is the Three Sisters Wilderness in Central Oregon. We did a day hike and hit some unexpected snow, which was a lovely surprise and made for some fun photos. Our hike was only to the shelter and we stopped there to enjoy the warm fire and have some drinks and snacks!
Lately, all I can think about is my upcoming vacation with my family to the San Juan Islands. This is a special trip for all of us because we are heading to a place where we went camping every summer during my childhood. The San Juan Islands are stunning and such an amazing place to go to escape and slow life down a little. We plan to make meals on the campfire, swim in the lake, play gin rummy for hours, read books, eat s'mores until our bellies hurt, lay in the hammock, go shop in the small island towns, ride the ferry and enjoy every second we have with one another. Yes, this all means, I absolutely can not wait! Here are some items I'd love to travel with:

One of my best friends and I finally took the trip we had been dreaming of for the past four years. We pulled the plug and booked tickets to Spain and Portugal this past spring and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. It is amazing how things come together and you get to experience adventures with someone you hold so dear to your heart. Neither one of us had been to Spain or Portugal, so it was all new territory for us. By far one of my favorite destinations of our trip was the breathtaking Balearic Island, Mallorca. The island is covered with mountains, farm land, cliffside's and crystal clear beaches. There were moments on the trip that truly took my breath away. I can't wait to go back to this enchanting part of the world. Here are just a few of the many, many pictures I took.
One of the many great things about Portland is that it's only an hour away from the coast. It feels amazing to just pick up and leave for the afternoon to watch the sunset on our picturesque coastline and breathe the salty ocean air. Here are a few pictures, unedited, from a few months ago.
Loving all things perforated or mesh like! This trend is definitely a must for this Spring!
Spring has sprung and it is making me think of great road trips in the PNW. I went to Crater Lake a few years back and it was beyond beautiful. It was in the summer during the warmest days of the year and so I jumped in the lake for a little cool down. Yes, it was cold water… but it felt so clean and refreshing! There is only a few spots around the lake you can actually swim in, including Cleetwood Cove, shown in the pictures below. I can't wait to go back and see these glorious shades of blue!
